Band Manager Summer steps up and gets the band ready for the competition: “Time to Play.”
Tomika, who has been too shy to get an assignment in the band, stuns everyone with her virtuoso singing of “Amazing Grace.”
The class listens nervously as Dewey demonstrates to Principal Mullins his musical method of teaching with “Math Is a Wonderful Thing.”
At the Road House, Rosalie Mullins admits that the stresses of work have changed her in ways she regrets, singing “Where Did the Rock Go”: “Where’s the joy I used to know way back then?”
Busted! At Parents Night, angry parents learn that Dewey Finn is not Ned Schneebly and has no teaching credentials.
The kids find Dewey where he’s moping over his failures, but Tomika rouses him with “If Only You Would Listen”: “Now that we’ve found you, you can’t just disappear. School won’t be the same without you here!”
At the Battle of the Bands, Dewey’s old band, No Vacancy, plays “I’m Too Hot for You.”
And then it’s the School of Rock’s turn, playing Zack’s original song.
For an encore, they perform “Stick It to the Man.”
Dewey invites applause for the parents and teachers and then introduces every member of the band individually.
He finishes by introducing Rosalie Mullins who sings a rock version of “Queen of the Night” before calling for applause for Dewey.
